Maddalena Delli
A trueborn Florentine and inveterate anglophile, I am a freelance writer (in Italian and English), translator, web designer, blogger and photographer specializing in the arts, culture, education, travel, food, design, lifestyle and the environment.
I am a member of the International Travel Writers Alliance and belong to the Italian journalists' guild (Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti)
Since 2001, I am a regular contributor to an Italian monthly magazine about events and culture. Before going freelance in 2004, I gained invaluable experience as staff writer and editor of a print and online magazine for international students in Florence.
In 2007-2008 I co-authored the 6th edition of the Florence and the Best of Tuscany guidebook published in the Time Out series, and contributed articles and original itineraries for their first ever Time Out Shortlist Florence guidebook.
I have been writing for the web for ten years and manage some award-winning web sites. Here at Suite101 I am the former Feature Writer for the Culinary Travel topic, and in my articles I try to mirror my passion for travel rather than tourism, and for exploring the world with all the senses.
I am always on the lookout for projects that allow scope for some lateral thinking and pride in timely delivery of quality original work complying with clients' guidelines and house style.
You are very welcome to contact me with story ideas or to discuss projects or article reprints.
